This lecture course discusses the most important problems of the first period of the modern history of the largest countries in Europe and America. The main attention in covering the history of these countries between the first and second world wars is paid to the analysis of those sharp discussions that are currently in Russian journalism and historiography on the content of the historical process in this difficult and controversial period of the twentieth century.
