The manual contains thematically grouped proverbs of the English language with explanations of their meanings and Russian analogues. When selecting Russians, the author preferred Russian proverbs from the collection of V.I. Dahl "Proverbs of the Russian people," and not tracing paper from English. For students of English, foreigners who study Russian and want to deepen their knowledge of phraseology.
