The text is based on a Ph.D. thesis and the author's personal impressions of the club and musical life of Peter of the 90s, in which he was directly involved. Therefore, the book can be evaluated in two ways: on the one hand, it is a scientific work, and on the other, a guide to the past decade, so rich in musical events. Indeed, the next heyday of St. Petersburg rock fell precisely in the 90s: then it seemed that finally the pop music would be defeated and cornered, and St. Petersburg clubs would give us a dozen new rock stars who sparkle all over the country. Partly (but only partly) it happened.
