Lynda La Plante (nee Lynda Titchmarsh) - British writer, screenwriter, producer and actress. Born: 15 March 1946 in Formby, Lancashire. Raised in Liverpool, her father was a salesman. Under the name of Linda Marshal (Lynda Marchal) played in several popular television series. As an actress, she starred in the TV series Z-Cars, The Sweeney, The Professionals, Bergerac, etc., the most successful was the crime series Widows (Widows, 1983), for which La Plant wrote the script.
