The book includes selected lectures by the rector of the St. Petersburg datsan "Gunzechoinei" B.B. Badmaev, which in a popular form explain the main provisions of the Buddhist Doctrine as they are interpreted in the living tradition of Buryat Buddhism. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between Buddhist philosophy and practical ethics.
