By "corporal punishment of children," hereinafter (except where specifically specified) will be meant the moderate application to a child for educational purposes (punishment for misconduct) of corporal punishment (slapping, moderate whipping) by parents, and persons replacing them or authorized by them. Moderation of corporal punishment implies, in particular, that it should not pose a real threat to the life or bodily health of the child, is not aimed at intentionally causing him any bodily harm or other harm. Moderation also presupposes an adult's ability to commensurate their educational actions with their purpose without going beyond reasonable limits.
