Famous richly illustrated edition published in one of the best publishing houses in Moscow - I.D. Sytin for the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty. Prominent Russian historians were involved in the work on the publication: S.F. Platonov, A.E. Presnyakov, Yu.V. Gauthier, M.M. Bogoslovsky, S.M. Seredonin. The editor of the two-volume book was appointed famous historian and archaeographer, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences Nikolai Dmitrievich Chechulin (1863-1927).
