Gun Power 23 - Ferdinand & Elefant Vol.2 - the second part of the book about the heavy assault self-propelled guns Ferdinand. Self-propelled guns Ferdinand were first used on the Kursk Bulge, and very successfully - there are several hundred wrecked Russian tanks behind them. At the end of 1943, the machine was renamed Elephant (Elephant), the surviving self-propelled guns by that time were recalled to the plant for conversion. During it, a machine gun was installed in the frontal sheet of the hull and a commander's turret on the roof of the wheelhouse. After that, all self-propelled guns were reduced to 553 tank destroyer divisions and were used mainly in the west.
