The collection publishes archival documents and little-known materials on the history of Kozmodemyansk - one of the ancient cities of the Mari Territory. The presented 355 documents significantly expand the source base and make it possible to form a holistic and specific idea of ​ ​ the most important events and processes in the history of the city of the late XVI - early XX centuries.
