Vsevolod Sergeevich Solovyov (January 1 (13) 1849, Moscow - October 20 (November 2) 1903, ibid.) - Russian novelist, eldest son of the historian S. M. Solovyov. Born in Moscow. He studied at the law faculty of Moscow University, where he graduated from the course in 1870 with a degree of candidate of rights, and in the same year entered the service in the 2nd department of His Imperial Majesty's own chancellery. He was the chairman of the standing commission on the organization of public readings.
