Georg F. Born (his real name is Georg Fülborn) was born on September 5, 1837 in the German town of Elbtal, in a wealthy burgher family. He studied at a commercial school in Stettin, where his passion for literature began, leading him to writing. In 1866 he moved to Berlin, and after many unsuccessful appeals to various publishers, luck smiled at him - the novel "Clelia" was accepted for publication and its circulation quickly sold out. Thus began the brilliant literary career of the novelist Georg F. Bourne.
