Composition of the beginning of the XIII century, belonging to one of the genres of medieval Persian and Arabic geographical literature - "aja'ib." This monument is both literary and scientific, since it is a valuable source on the historical geography of a number of cities in North-Western Iran, as well as Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia at the end of the XII - beginning of the XIII century.
