Greg Egan - Australian science fiction writer, one of the world leaders in "solid" science fiction. He began his literary career with the fantasy novel "From an Unusual Angle of View" (1983), but by the end of the 1980s he had completely switched to "solid" science fiction, mainly related to the topics of mathematics, physics and biology.
