The book, both retrospectively and in relation to the current and future situation, examines a number of aspects of the missile defense problem, primarily in the light of the long-term US policy in this area. Starting from the earliest stages of its development, US strategic weapons were focused on ensuring the first nuclear strike on the USSR within the framework of the concept of unpunished aggression. The same orientation has been preserved in the United States in relation to the Russian Federation.
