Analytical and numerical methods for studying partial differential equations and systems are described: hyperbolic, parabolic, elliptic and mixed type, linear and non-linear. The list of these methods and techniques is long, and they should complement each other: integral transformations, calculus of variations, special functions, asymptotic methods, splines, rational approximations. The book is addressed to the reader, who uses both analytical and numerical, computer methods in his research.
