The book is devoted to the physics of thunderstorm formation and the influence of electrical forces on elementary processes in cumulonimbus clouds. Modern information about the dynamics, structure and electrical structure of thunderclouds is presented. Possible mechanisms of electrification of hydrometeors in cumulonimbus clouds and the most common thunderstorm patterns are being critically analyzed.
