The Zionist Factor, first published in 1986, is the culmination of Ivor Benson's deep work as an analyst of 20th-century history. This is a subtle study of the set of questions that tormented all Western thinkers, regardless of whether they are ready or not to admit it: the mysterious relationship between Christians and Jews, between capitalism and socialism. As such, this book is a constant reminder not only of its outstanding author, but also of a subject of paramount importance, the approach to which is certainly difficult. Somewhat frightening is the fact that as the importance of this issue grows, public discussion of it becomes more and more forbidden. To deal with this topic and write such a book, the author must be not only conscientious and scrupulously honest, but also unusually courageous. Of the many writers and commentators, only a few dare to give a public answer to questions of this kind.
