The book describes the principle of operation, methods of calculation and design of vortex devices used for cooling and heating gases, separation of two-phase media, separation of gas mixtures and vacuuming. Recommendations on selection of rational sizes of vortex devices and their elements, manufacture, testing and operation of vortex devices are given, ways of improvement of their structures are considered.
