Laruel Marlene's book explores the ideology and practice of Eurasianism in its past and present: Russia and other countries. The ideas of classical Eurasians (Trubetskoy, Savitsky, etc.), the authors of the USSR adjacent to Eurasianism are studied: L. Gumilyov, A. Panarin, the now living "neo-Eurasian" A. Dugin, as well as the refraction of Eurasian ideas in Islamic regions and societies of Russia, in Turkey and Kazakhstan.
