The basic concepts of reliability in connection with the operation of oil and gas equipment are considered. The impact of manufacturing technology on equipment reliability is shown. A detailed system analysis of the effect of technology on reliability characteristics associated with operation through the formed properties (parameters) of the surface layer is presented.
