The main purpose of belemnite drugs, popularly called damn fingers, is to strengthen immunity. Healers use medicinal compositions with belemnites as an additional, or even as the main remedy for diseases. In middle China, belemnites are known as the "dragon tooth," which is not at all mystical: rostrums are often found next to the remains of dinosaur skeletons called dragons in China.
