The monograph covers new materials on the ecological confinement of the types and subtypes of soils that make up the structure of the soil cover of the Kemerovo region to specific flat and mountain landscapes that differ in biological productivity, types of substance cycling and hydrothermal parameters. The conditions of genesis and properties of mountain forest soils in taiga landscapes of Kuznetsk Alatau, Mountain Shoria and Salair, attributed by the author to pre-podzolic stages of development, are considered in detail. It is shown that the development of the podzolic process in these soils is limited by the high rates of biological circulation of substances, the abundant supply of bases during the mineralization of litter and weathering of primary minerals.
