In the proposed work, the author provided extensive reference material on the basics of the design of cast parts and gave justification for the design rules for such parts, based on the technical properties of alloys and manufacturability of structures. The manual will allow students to quickly master the basics of design skills, and foundry specialists - to create rational designs.
