Yuri Meigesh lives in Transcarpathia. His work has long been known to the All-Union reader. The publishing house "Soviet Writer" has published translated into Russian his books "Verkhovintsy" (1969) and "Stone Idol" (1973). The theme of love, friendship, human dignity, responsibility for one's words and deeds is leading in the writer's work. In the new novels "Life - Minutes, Years..." and "Today and Always," which compiled this book, Yu. Meigesh remains faithful to her.
