First edition of R.M. Melnikov's book "Cruiser "Varyag."" The book, based on numerous, mainly unpublished, archival materials, describes the history of the famous Russian cruiser Varyag in chronological order, from its order in America to the last days of existence. The book tells about previously unknown circumstances of the battle at Chemulpo. Particular attention is paid to the technical side of the history of the Varyag, i.e. the history of the ship as an engineering structure, which is always a reflection of the scientific and technical level of its era.
