The purpose of the dissertation research is to study the socio-political position of the Russian Vedomosti publicists in relation to liberal reforms in Russia in the late 1860s and early 1880s, which makes it possible to identify the distinctive features of the liberal model of social reconstruction of Russia proposed by the authors and editors of the newspaper.
