Rolan Bykov (1929-1998) - theater and film director, actor, teacher. On account of his eleven films ("Aibolit-66," "Telegram," "Car, Violin and Dog Klyaks," "Scarecrow," etc.), hundreds of film roles, the creation of the Children's Film and Television Fund and an attempt to revive children's cinema in Russia in the nineties. Rolan Bykov's diaries "I'm beaten - I'll start over!," Published in 2010, became a bestseller. The book "Come on, come on, sons!" (as the commander of the partisan detachment Lokotkov shouted in the film "Checking on the Roads") became their logical continuation. It included texts about theater and cinema, letters to directors, fellow actors and writers, memories of working with Andrei Tarkovsky, Nonna Mordyukova, Mikhail Romm and many, many others. The texts are collected and commented on by the widow of R.A. Bykov Elena Sanaeva.
