For the first time in a systematic form, a range of issues related to monopulse direction finding in radar with digital headlamps is presented. Summary-difference and amplitude direction finding methods (including statistical synthesis of optimal algorithm of summary-difference direction finding) are considered and their accuracy characteristics are given (noise errors, influence of amplitude-phase errors of paths and failures, correlation of errors of two angular coordinates). Approximation of direction-finding characteristics is proposed, problem of selection of optimal displacement of partial beams of direction-finding bundle in amplitude method of direction-finding is investigated. The possibility of correction of direction finding results in the implementation of monopulse direction finding methods in combination with adaptive spatial filtering is shown.
