Jonathan Coe (English Jonathan Coe) - British writer, widely known for the novel "What a cheat!." Jonathan Coe was born in 1961 in Birmingham. He graduated from the prestigious Trinity College in Cambridge. He later taught English poetry at the University of Warwick, where he received his doctorate for his dissertation on Henry Fielding's novel Tom Jones. Subsequently, he worked as a proofreader, a professional musician (wrote music for cabaret) and a freelance journalist.
