The reference book is an supplemented and revised version of the second volume of the reference book "Ships of the Navy of the USSR," published in 2003 (the first part is "Aircraft carriers and missile and artillery ships"), as well as in 2004 (the second part is "Small missile ships and boats"). It contains information about the strike ships in service or under construction as of December 1991. Their fate was traced until November 2007. Data are given: about the names; factory numbers; dates of laying, launching, commissioning, decommissioning, medium repairs, upgrades or re-equipment, construction enterprises and design firms. It tells about the features of projects and the main stages of their creation. Diagrams of appearance, longitudinal sections of all projects and photographs are presented.
