This edition contains the works of one of the outstanding participants in the Decembrist movement - Ivan Dmitrievich Yakushkin (1793-1857). Along with his famous "Notes," which is the most reliable document on the history of secret societies of the 20s of the XIX century, Yakushkin's articles are placed, his letters and letters to him are collected (published in most cases for the first time; for a list of addressees, see p. 198), as well as memories of him.
