The book outlines the basics of aerodynamics of a free flooded swirling jet near a nozzle and a jet in a cylindrical channel. Extensive experimental material on the aerodynamics of a twisted jet was analyzed. Calculation methods based on strict boundary layer equations and on the basis of various semi-empirical theories are considered. Results of measurement of turbulent characteristics of jets swirled by swirlers of various types are given.
