The book is devoted to the history of Eurasia, which is considered through the analysis of key moments in its history. From the author's point of view, among such moments were the reforms in China in the 3rd century BC, which not only created a unique Chinese statehood, but also became the immediate cause of the emergence of nomadic empires in the steppe border region. Of particular importance for this process was the territory of Mongolia, located beyond the Gobi Desert. It was here in the confrontation with China that the main nomadic empires were formed and from here they then spread their influence throughout steppe Eurasia.
