Gustav EMAR (1818-1883) - French writer, real name Oliver Glu, author of numerous adventure novels. Oliver Glu was born in September 1818 in Paris. As a young man, Oliver left France. He entered as a young man on a merchant ship bound for America, and spent ten years in voyages and land wanderings in different countries. For many years he traveled to North and South America, lived for several years among the Indians, studying the life and customs of various tribes.
