The book contains an inventory and attribution and a brief history of the Armory's items: state symbols, thrones, carriages, weapons, vestments, gifts, trophies, dishes, etc. etc., in general, the total that made up the treasury of Russian sovereigns, or, according to A.F. Veltman, "the remains of the Big Treasury."
