The work for the first time collected, summarized and scientifically explained extensive materials from various sources on the origin of Kazakh tribes and clans and their resettlement. Of greatest value are the materials of the ethnographic survey of the regions of Kazakhstan. Critical analysis of written sources made it possible to revise some ideas on the history of certain clans and tribes of the Kazakh people, to express a new point of view.
