Ulanov is a wonderful writer in himself and co-authored, apparently with a historian - in a lively, intelligible language, he spoke about what those 20-30 thousand tanks (according to various sources) that were in service with the Red Army before the Great Patriotic War and where they suddenly went! No - I read something like that about airplanes and the division of all military equipment into categories, but the dry lines of those articles could not be compared with this book! But the author wrote, although not focusing on his words: the same situation was in all types of weapons...
