Jackson's book is a course in electrodynamics. It is based on a course of lectures that the author gave for many years at the University of Illinois and McGill University (USA). Along with the traditional sections of electrodynamics (from electrostatics to special theory of relativity), the book considers its most interesting applications, for example, in radio engineering (theory of waveguides and resonators, theory of radiation) and in nuclear physics (collisions of charged particles, radiation of moving particles).
