The law of karma, one of the deepest and unimaginably confusing axioms of reality, is the law of cause and effect, the law "what you sow, you reap." The Upanishads put it this way: "Truly, you become good good action and bad action bad." ("Brihadaranyaka," III. h. 13.) For most of us, this law is known as Newton's third law: each action causes an equal and opposite directed action.
