Provides information on various aspects and types of computer-aided design systems support required by qualified CAD users in various fields of technology. Significant attention is paid to the mathematical support of the procedures for the analysis and synthesis of design solutions, the construction of information networks, the composition and functions of CAD system environments. The recently developed methods of conceptual design of complex systems, which are the basis of the CALS technology, as well as the issues of CAD design, are highlighted.
