The monograph, based on significant documentary material, examines one of the little-known pages of the history of Ukraine - the heroic struggle of its people against the invasion of the Ottoman Empire in the 70s and 90s of the 17th century. This aggression was opposed by the armed forces of the Ukrainian people, who made several campaigns in the Slavic lands of the Black Sea region captured by Turkey and Crimea.
