The book outlines the foundations of modern sociology, explains the theoretical and practical meaning of sociological research, their connection with philosophy, political science, jurisprudence, economics and other sciences, as well as with real social practice. For the first time in such literature of an educational nature, the logical and mathematical basis of empirical sociology is explained and, in this regard, the technical toolkit of applied sociological research is described.
