The book is the first Russian-language study of the work of the great medieval mystic and thinker John Eckhart from Hochheim. Eckhart theology is viewed against a wide cultural and historical background. At the same time, special attention is paid to comparing the doctrine of Eckhart with the doctrine of his contemporary, the ideologist of Byzantine hesychasm Gregory Palamas.
