Maria Pereyaslavets is a representative of one of the well-known creative dynasties in Moscow. Her father, V.I. Pereyaslavets, is a military artist of the Studio named after M.B. Grekov, academician of painting. Her brother, sculptor M.V. Pereyaslavets, is the artistic director of the Studio of Military Artists named after M.B. Grekov, also an academician. Her mother and grandfather are representatives of the famous Moscow dynasty of Popov artists.
