The 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron is assigned to the 2nd Allied Tactical Air Force (2ATAF). As established by the Bonn Convention, the unit's peacetime mission is to intercept unidentified aircraft which penetrate the northern border of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its wartime mission is to establish and maintain air superiority within the 2 ATAF area of responsibility.
