The beginning of the 20th century was marked in the history of geological knowledge by the largest event - the birth of geochemistry, the first problems of which were outlined by M.V. Lomonosov. This branch of geological science, which studies the laws of distribution and movement of atoms on our planet, was created and formalized into an independent discipline by our wonderful Russian scientists - academician V.I. Vernadsky and his best and most talented student, academician A.E. Fersman.
