A wide range of issues related to the resistance of concrete and reinforced concrete in various conditions and methods of their protection against aggressive environmental action were considered. Based on the generalization of the literature and the results of experimental studies of the authors of the book, ideas about the mechanism of corrosion processes in concrete and reinforced concrete in natural and production aggressive environments are given. Data on the rate of corrosion processes are the basis of methods for predicting the service life of concrete exposed to corrosion.
