Currently, the development of information technology is very dynamic. New programming languages ​ ​ are constantly appearing, standards for existing ones are being updated. The first part of this course provides an overview of existing paradigms and programming languages, discusses a possible approach to structuring them, building their hierarchy. Features of paradigms and programming languages, areas of their application are analyzed.
