This book is the first in Ukraine anthology of world conservative thought, including the works of authors of the XVI-XXI centuries. The first edition of the anthology began the Political Ideologies series, which aims to consistently represent the main traditions of political thought and the corresponding political ideologies. The second edition of the collection has been revised and supplemented: it includes excerpts from works and individual works of classics of conservative thought, as well as the most important studies of leading Western scientists. The structure of the anthology reproduces the main features of conservatism and the nature of conservative ideological thinking. Accordingly, the six parts of the anthology contain texts that introduce the reader to the problem of the identity of conservatism (its fundamental values); conservative anthropology (a view of the nature of man, society and culture); the philosophy of traditionalism and the principles of social order and freedom; concepts of equality and social hierarchy.
