The class of torpedo boats originated in the second half of the XIX century. and existed until the end of the 90s of the XX century. The book details the history of the appearance and technical evolution of this class of small warships. It provides information on all types of experimental and serial torpedo boats built in different countries of the world for more than 120 years. They are displayed in numerous illustrations (photographs, projections, diagrams), mostly unknown to a wide audience. In terms of coverage, the book has no analogues in both Russian and other languages. The book examines all types of missile boats and small missile ships (corvettes) built since their appearance in the fleets.
